Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has said he "respects" the club's transfer policy of signing younger players, rather than experienced stars such as Manchester United midfielder Casemiro. “Honestly, I’m not frustrated because when you arrive in a new club to work you have to stay to understand the vision. When you understand the vision then you have to respect [it] because you’ve signed a contract, then try to help the club improve following this vision. I understand the frustration of the fans because the fans want to lift trophies. I understand everything and everybody but at the same time, in my opinion, for what I have understood here, we need to have patience and we need to have time, and try to improve. According to  CalcioMercato , both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will battle it out to sign Inter Milan defender Stefan De Vrij. The 30-year-old has been with Inter since arriving on a free transfer from Lazio in 2018 and has made 181 appearances for the Serie A giants, scoring seven goals and registering seven assists in that time ( Transfermarkt ). With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, though, De Vrij could well leave the club the same way he arrived – with no fee changing hands. ESPN  have revealed that Djed Spence is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the January transfer window. Spence has not started a single game for Tottenham since his move from Middlesbrough in the summer, coming on as a substitute for all four of his appearances this season ( Transfermarkt ). Tottenham Hotspur youth coach and former Premier League star, Yaya Toure, has revealed his desire to make the step into full-time senior management in the future.  Tour joined the Hotspur Way set-up last season and worked within the Tottenham academy while he collected his necessary coaching badges. However, he stayed with the North London outfit for the new campaign, taking on the role of U16 head coach ( Tottenham ). It was reported recently that Wigan Athletic tried to sign Toure as their new head coach after being impressed by his resume, but the Ivorian turned them down.  Journalist Mike Minay revealed  at the time that Toure did hold a ‘long-term’ ambition of going into management. Fabrizio Romano has reported that things are ‘completely quiet’ on the new Harry Kane contract front, with no negotiations currently open with Tottenham Hotspur ( CaughtOffside ). Of course, it would be near impossible to discuss a new contract with Kane while the England captain is on World Cup duty, but it appears no talks took place in the first half of this season either. According to journalist  Dean Jones  in an interview with  GiveMeSport , Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer Harry Kane a lucrative new contract to ensure he remains at the club beyond his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2024. Kane’s future has been the subject of speculation for a while now. The England captain was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City last summer, and it was reported by Sky Sports that Pep Guardiola’s side had even tabled a £100 million bid for the striker ( Sky Sports ). Obviously, that move didn’t materialise and Kane was an integral figure in leading Antonio Conte’s men to a fourth-place finish last season, securing Champions League football in the process. That hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from turning, though, with Bayern Munich now the main suitor for Kane’s services  ( TZ ) . With all this in mind, Tottenham Hotspur would be wise to offer Kane a new contract sooner rather than later and tie up his long-term future....

LancashireLive  have revealed that Dilan Markanday could be on his way out of Blackburn in January, just 12 months on from leaving Tottenham to join the Championship club.
