Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte on the club transfer policy and vision ⚪ #THFC

Image
Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has said he "respects" the club's transfer policy of signing younger players, rather than experienced stars such as Manchester United midfielder Casemiro. “Honestly, I’m not frustrated because when you arrive in a new club to work you have to stay to understand the vision. When you understand the vision then you have to respect [it] because you’ve signed a contract, then try to help the club improve following this vision. I understand the frustration of the fans because the fans want to lift trophies. I understand everything and everybody but at the same time, in my opinion, for what I have understood here, we need to have patience and we need to have time, and try to improve. Don’t make mistakes in the transfer market and also to have patience for the players that you are going to sign, to wait for them to develop. You can sign players with experience at 30 years old with great victories behind them – Casemiro for example." ...

Tottenham and Man United could battle to sign central defender, according to reports in Italy 👇#THFC #MUFC

Image
According to  CalcioMercato , both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will battle it out to sign Inter Milan defender Stefan De Vrij. The 30-year-old has been with Inter since arriving on a free transfer from Lazio in 2018 and has made 181 appearances for the Serie A giants, scoring seven goals and registering seven assists in that time ( Transfermarkt ). With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, though, De Vrij could well leave the club the same way he arrived – with no fee changing hands. According to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb last week, De Vrij himself is ‘lukewarm’ on the idea of putting pen to paper on a new deal with Inter. Meanwhile, Football Insider have claimed Antonio Conte has made contact with the Dutch defender about joining him at Spurs. De Vrij is free to leave in the summer of 2023, and can agree a deal for his next destination from January onward. If the player is indeed reluctant to sign a new deal, Inter have two options – lose him for no...

Tottenham Hotspur January transfer update ⚪🔵 #THFC

Spurs are more likely to prioritise options up front in January over an attacking midfielder with Richarlison injured and the noticeable void left by Kulusevski's absence earlier this season.

Djed Spence is generating plenty of interest from clubs ahead of a potential January move, according to reports 👇

Image
ESPN  have revealed that Djed Spence is attracting plenty of interest ahead of the January transfer window. Spence has not started a single game for Tottenham since his move from Middlesbrough in the summer, coming on as a substitute for all four of his appearances this season ( Transfermarkt ). It remains to be seen whether his fate will be different in the second part of the campaign, with the North London club expected to sign another right wing-back in January (90 min). There have been contradictory reports regarding Spence’s future at Tottenham over couple of weeks. Alasdair Gold said on his YouTube channel earlier this month there has been no indication from anyone at Tottenham to the England Under-21 international’s entourage that they are planning on loaning him out. However, The Times reported on Thursday that the 22-year-old is one of three players Spurs are expected to offload in January.  ESPN have now backed up The Times’ claim by stating that Spence could be loan...

Antonio Conte has explained why he has not spoken to Kane about his World Cup penalty miss #THFC 👇

Image
Antonio Conte explains why he has not spoken to Kane about his penalty miss Antonio Conte has revealed that he has not spoken to Harry Kane specifically about his penalty miss against France as he believes that the striker is more than strong enough to cope with the disappointment. The World Cup ended in heartbreak for Kane and England as the striker’s late penalty miss sent the Three Lions crashing out at the quarterfinal stage. The 29-year-old  took to social media  after the loss to France to admit that he is gutted at the result and took responsibility for England’s elimination. Kane will be looking to put the disappointment behind him and get back to scoring ways when Tottenham take to the field against Brentford this afternoon. season, having found the back of the net 12 times in 15 matches (Transfermarkt), and Conte is not in any doubt that he will continue banging in the goals this season. The Spurs boss told Football.London: “For Harry, it’s really important now, b...

#THFC and Arsenal could be set for 'heated' battle for 22-year-old, according to reports in the Spanish media⤵️

Image
CalcioMercato  have revealed that Tottenham and Arsenal could be set to battle it out for Lille striker Jonathan David in January. David has been prolific at Lille for the past 18 months and  Todofichajes  reported last week that Tottenham have been watching the striker at the World Cup and mulling over whether to make a move for him in January. Speaking to  The Sun  a few days ago, the Canadian international admitted his desire to play in the Premier League. CalcioMercato have now claimed that David is one of four names on Arsenal’s shortlist for a centre-forward in January, with Mikel Arteta’s men said to be prioritising signing a number nine after the injury to Gabriel Jesus. The report adds that the Gunners could be set for a ‘heated’ battle with Spurs, who are also said to be ‘very interested’ in the 22-year-old. Apart from David, CalcioMercato add that Ajax’s Cody Gapko, Roma’s Tammy Abraham and Juventus’ Dusan Vlahvoic are the other options on Arsenal’s r...

Yaya Toure has managerial aims ⬇️ Fingers crossed he stays at Spurs for a little while longer 🤞

Image
Tottenham Hotspur youth coach and former Premier League star, Yaya Toure, has revealed his desire to make the step into full-time senior management in the future.  Tour joined the Hotspur Way set-up last season and worked within the Tottenham academy while he collected his necessary coaching badges. However, he stayed with the North London outfit for the new campaign, taking on the role of U16 head coach ( Tottenham ). It was reported recently that Wigan Athletic tried to sign Toure as their new head coach after being impressed by his resume, but the Ivorian turned them down.  Journalist Mike Minay revealed  at the time that Toure did hold a ‘long-term’ ambition of going into management. The man himself has now confirmed as much, stating that he wants a new challenge in football to manage his very own group of players. While he did not put a time scale on such a move, he added that he was excited to get started. He said ( Mirror ): “I am looking for it. All my life and al...

Fabrizio Romano provides update on Harry Kane new contract rumours ⬇️

Image
Fabrizio Romano has reported that things are ‘completely quiet’ on the new Harry Kane contract front, with no negotiations currently open with Tottenham Hotspur ( CaughtOffside ). Of course, it would be near impossible to discuss a new contract with Kane while the England captain is on World Cup duty, but it appears no talks took place in the first half of this season either. Romano also confirmed that Bayern Munich are fans of the Spurs striker but nothing else has happened yet, so it is very much a case of wait-and-see in terms of Kane’s future. Football Insider recently reported  that Harry Kane and his team will closely monitor Tottenham’s talks with Antonio Conte over a new deal, which could influence the striker’s decision over his own. Ben Jacobs also claimed  that Spurs believe Kane is open to talking about signing a new deal in North London when the time is right. Romano said: “I’ve seen stories about Kane again, but there are no changes at all as of now. “Tottenham w...

Tottenham will 'push the boat out' with new contract offer for star player, claims journalist ⬇️

Image
According to journalist  Dean Jones  in an interview with  GiveMeSport , Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer Harry Kane a lucrative new contract to ensure he remains at the club beyond his current deal, which expires in the summer of 2024. Kane’s future has been the subject of speculation for a while now. The England captain was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City last summer, and it was reported by Sky Sports that Pep Guardiola’s side had even tabled a £100 million bid for the striker ( Sky Sports ). Obviously, that move didn’t materialise and Kane was an integral figure in leading Antonio Conte’s men to a fourth-place finish last season, securing Champions League football in the process. That hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from turning, though, with Bayern Munich now the main suitor for Kane’s services  ( TZ ) . With all this in mind, Tottenham Hotspur would be wise to offer Kane a new contract sooner rather than later and tie up his long-term future....

#THFC academy coach Yaya Toure is targeting his first managerial job.

Image
“I am looking for it,” he said. “All my life and all my career when I was a player, I loved challenges. Now it's a different challenge. A challenge that suits me to be honest. I can’t wait to see myself in this industry. Not as a player, now as a manager. Surrounded by players that I have to manage, work with and make better. Make them believe and make them understand the football you want them to play. It's something that excites me. I’m really looking forward to it, to be honest.”

South American football expert Tim Vickery on why Richarlison is so key for Brazil 🇧🇷 (@GiveMeSport):

Image
"Because he gives them what they want. He’s like a racehorse wearing blinkers. He doesn’t think about anything else apart from scoring goals. Vickery: "They don’t need a player in that position who can elaborate because they’ve got that. What they want is a penalty box operator – simple, uncomplicated and strong."

Report provides an update on how Spurs graduate Dilan Markanday is getting on ⬇️

Image
LancashireLive  have revealed that Dilan Markanday could be on his way out of Blackburn in January, just 12 months on from leaving Tottenham to join the Championship club. Markanday, who came through the ranks of the Spurs academy, made waves in Premier League 2 at the start of 2021-22, scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in just 14 matches for Tottenham’s Under-21s ( Transfermarkt ). The youngster’s form saw him make several of Spurs’ matchday squads, with Nuno Espirito Santo handing him his senior debut in the Europa Conference League clash against Vitesse in October of last year. However, Markanday decided not to renew his contract at Tottenham and left the North London club to join Blackburn in January in a deal worth  £500,000   in search of regular first-team football. Frustratingly for the winger, he picked up a hamstring injury in his first outing for the Championship club that ruled him out for nearly the entirety of the second half of last season. The Sp...

Ben Foster on what he has heard about Harry Kane and Jordan Henderson (CyclingGK) 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿:

Image
"He [Henderson] is that captain you need on the pitch. Don’t get me wrong, Harry Kane is our captain and he’s someone everyone will look up to and apparently behind the scenes he is great... Foster: "...but on the pitch, Jordan Henderson is the main man. He’s the one who is pointing and shouting and getting everyone going."

Harry Kane words about his foot:

Image
"My foot feels fine, no problem at all. It's been getting better day by day & now I almost don't feel it at all which is great. Form wise I feel like I'm playing well. Goals are what I'll be judged on most but as always I'm calm, focussed on doing my best for the team."

Pundit tells Harry Kane to learn from former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud...I think Harry will be okay, to be honest 😂

Image
Football pundit Danny Murphy has told  TalkSport  that Harry Kane should learn from Olivier Giroud and occupy more advanced positions on the pitch. Kane is one of the most prolific strikers in world football, with 288 club goals in 487 appearances. The 29-year-old is closing in on the  Premier League all-time goalscoring record , as well as being just six goals away from being Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer ( MyFootballFacts ). The Spurs star has won three  Premier League Golden Boot awards  in his career, and also won the  World Cup Golden Boot  in 2018. At international level, Kane has 51 goals in just 78 caps ( Transfermarkt ) and is just two goals shy of Wayne Rooney’s record as England’s all-time top scorer. Suffice to say, Harry Kane has no problem finding the back of the net. Even just this season, Kane has bagged 13 goals in the first half of the campaign ( Transfermarkt ) and looks on track for one of his most prolific seasons to date...
