Vinicius Jr warns Brazil have ‘many more celebrations ready’ after critics, including Manchester United legend Roy Keane, hit out at World Cup dancing

Vinicius Jr warned that Brazil have many more celebrations ready to go at this World Cup.

Brazil waltzed their way into the World Cup quarter-finals as they thumped South Korea 4-0.

As well as goals from Vinicius Jr, Neymar, Richarlison and Lucas Paqueta, Brazil enjoyed themselves in celebration after doing a celebratory dance after every strike as they broke out the samba-style in Qatar.

They even managed to get head coach Tite involved as Richarlison ran to the bench and embraced the Brazil coach in dance.

However, not everyone was a big fan of the dancing. Manchester United legend Roy Keane, unsurprisingly, especially hit out at the celebrations.

Speaking on ITV, Keane joked: “I’ve never seen so much dancing. It’s like watching Strictly!”

He added: “I don’t like this.

“I know it’s about culture, but I think it’s really disrespectful to the opposition.

“It’s 4-0 and they’re doing it every time.

“I don’t mind the first jig but after that and then the manager getting involved with it? I’m not happy with it, I don’t think it’s good at all.”

Vinicius Jr was asked about the backlash from their dancing, ahead of their quarter-final with Croatia on Friday – which is live on talkSPORT.

The Real Madrid star said they will keep their joy as they progress in the tournament.

“Sure, some love to complain when they see other people’s happiness and we Brazilians are a joyful people, so it will always bother them,” he said on Wednesday.

“The goal is the most important moment in football, in a World Cup it is even more important so it’s a moment of joy not only for us, players, but for our entire country.

“We still have many celebrations ready, so we need to keep playing better, winning games and stay joyful in the process.

“We need to stay calm and focus because there are more people with us than against us.”
