AGENT

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s World Cup bromance with England teammate Jude Bellingham gets Liverpool fans excited ahead of possible transfer

Trent Alexander-Arnold spent his Wednesday evening out in Doha with Jude Bellingham – and some fans think the Liverpool star is playing the role of agent.

Bellingham has long been linked with a move to Liverpool and as his long-term future at Borussia Dortmund becomes unclear, Reds fans are hoping the starlet opts for a move Anfield.

Real Madrid and Manchester City have also shown an interest in the 19-year-old but Alexander-Arnold appears to have taken advantage of his close ties with Bellingham during some down time in Qatar.

Following Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Wales, Southgate gave his players the day off to recover with some players opting to relax by the pool while others continued to work in the gym.

In the evening Alexander-Arnold and Bellingham took a walk to Doha to take in the sights which included a stroll to the Raffles – an exclusive hotel open to World Cup guests and VIPs.

Following their evening out, Alexander-Arnold posted a photo of the pair on Twitter with the caption: “Stroll in the City with Bro @BellinghamJude.”

The duo have built a close relationship since Bellingham was first called up to the senior squad in 2021.

Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson has also taken Bellingham under his wing and is often seen looking after the Dortmund star while in the England camp, according to Three Lions’ defender Conor Coady.

Henderson has spoken highly of Bellingham in the past and is in no doubt that the Stourbridge native has the credentials to play for Liverpool in the future.

“I like the way he plays. I like his personality, which is the most important thing. I like the way he conducts himself. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about him. The sky’s the limit for him, really,” said Henderson.

The news will delight Liverpool fans who are in need of regeneration in their injury-hit midfield.

Bellingham has started every game so far at the World Cup, helping Gareth Southgate’s side secure top spot in the group and a round-of-16 tie against Senegal on Sunday – live on talkSPORT.
