Al Nassr confirm intentions to ‘push’ for Cristiano Ronaldo deal with contract until 2025 on the table for former Manchester United star

Al Nassr are ready to advance their pursuit of free agent Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.

Ronaldo has been without a club since mid-November following the mutual termination of his contract at Manchester United.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has most recently been on international duty at the World Cup with Portugal.

However, it appears as though he could be joining his next club very soon, with Al Nassr keen to sign the footballing legend.

Guardian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that they have told Ronaldo’s camp they will ‘push and insist’ for the forward in the coming days.

The Saudi Arabian side have no plans to give up on a deal, with a contract running until 2025 still on offer.

Despite the heavy interest from Al Nassr, Ronaldo will wait for European clubs before making a decision on his future.

He had been linked with a return to Sporting Lisbon as well as a switch to Chelsea, but Al Nassr appear to be the most eager.

Previous reports have said that he is expected to sign for the club by the end of the year.

The speculated £173million-per-year deal would also see him become the highest paid athlete in sport.

Despite a poor World Cup campaign, Ronaldo is still one of the best talents in the game.

His next destination could very well be Al Nassr, with the 37-year-old now entering the latter stages of his career.
