The World Cup in Qatar was yet another flop for Germany in recent years . Germany, for now, is the biggest disappointment of this World Cup in Qatar , together with Belgium. Flick's team, the 2014 World Champion, was eliminated in the group stage for the second consecutive edition. In between, also the not brilliant performance at Euro2020, when the Germans were eliminated by England in the round of 16.

All of Germany 's players are very disappointed in recent years, but most of all Joshua Kimmich, who gave a very harsh interview about his current state of mind. “ I'm afraid I've ended up in a black hole. If we go back in time, we can see that the 2018 World Cup was a disaster, as well as Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup. When I arrived in the national team, Germany always reached the semi-finals, then everything changed. We have achieved only disappointments in the last 4 years, now I am afraid of being associated only with these failures” .

Strong and harsh words for Bayern Munich's 1995 class. From his words it is evident how the player is pouring great responsibility on himself for the poor performance of his national team.
