The World Cup is approaching and Fantacalcio.it has announced the regulation of its version of the Fantasy World Cup. As with what happened with Fantasy Euro 2020, the game will not be a classic fantasy football, but more a fantasy football combined with betting . In fact, the fantasy coaches will have to line up the formation and guess the results of the matches at the same time . The Fantamondiale will also have rich prizes ranging from "PS5 Kit Plus" worth more than 1000 euros, up to "Premium Pack Package lasting 12 months valid on the
leghe.fantacalcio.it app" . Below are the most important parts of the official regulation of the Fantasy World of Fantacalio.it.
“The game app will be available for download by 7/11/2022. The useful period for participation will go from the release date of the apps (start of registrations) and will end with the final match of the World Football Championship ("Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022") scheduled for 12/18/2022. Winners will be notified by 15 February 2023.
If you have an active fantacalcio.it access account, you will be able to log in with those same credentials. Automatically, you will find yourself registered in Fantamondiale with a self-generated game nickname. The nickname can then be changed at any time in the "profile" section of the app, under "gamer name". To play it will also be necessary to express consent to the processing of data requested in the specific information.
If you do not have a fantacalcio.it account, to register, just enter a valid email address and choose a password. After confirming the registration link sent to the email indicated, you will find yourself registered in Fantamondiale with a self-generated game nickname. The nickname can then be changed at any time in the "profile" section of the app, under "gamer name". Registration will also generate a fantacalcio.it account, which is completely free and can be canceled at any time. To play it will also be necessary to express consent to the processing of data requested in the specific information.
CHOICE OF ASSISTANT COACH
Immediately after the registration or first login phase, it will be necessary to choose one's assistant coach among those proposed by the software. The Assistant Coach will have a specific function linked to the optional management described in point 7.6 of the regulation. The initial choice of the Assistant Coach cannot be changed for the entire duration of the competition.
THE GAME ACTIVITIES: THE INITIAL PREDICTIONS
Starting from the moment of registration and until the start time of the first match on the calendar of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" (20 November 2022 - 5 pm Italian time, unless changes communicated by FIFA after the publication of these regulations), each participant will be able to predict:
- (A) Winning team of “Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022”
- (B) The exact ranking, understood as the order of the four positions, of each of the 8 groups of the first phase of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022"
- (C) The group of the first phase of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" in which the most total goals will be scored.
- (D) The best scorer of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022", i.e. the one who will score the most goals, among the players indicated in a specific list
- (E) The worst scorer of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022", i.e. the one who will score the fewest goals, among those indicated in a specific list.
For each correct prediction, points valid for the general classification will be obtained as per the table in point 8.1 of the regulation. Predictions (A) and (B) have unambiguous results (in the event of equal points in the groups, the sorting method established by FIFA criteria and valid for "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" always prevails). Predictions (C), (D) and (E) can have multiple outcomes, i.e. more ex-aequo winners. In this case, having predicted an ex-aequo winner will also give the right to receive the points provided for by the exact prediction.
The prediction (E) relating to a player who, due to injuries or other reasons, is excluded from the squad of his national team before the start of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022", despite being present in the specific list of selectable. Predictions can be freely changed, even several times, up to the start time of the first match on the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" calendar.
The points foreseen by the predictions (A), (D) and (E) correct results are assigned, as per the following scheme, only once at the end of the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" competition. - (C) + 10 points if the participant has correctly predicted the group of the first phase of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" in which the most total goals will be scored.
- (D) + 25 points if the participant has correctly predicted the best scorer of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022", i.e. the one who will score the most goals, among the players indicated in a specific list.
- (E) + 25 points if the participant has correctly predicted the worst scorer of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022", i.e. the one who will score the fewest goals, among those indicated in a specific list.
GAME ACTIVITIES: DAILY PREDICTIONS
Starting approximately 24 hours before each single match on the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" calendar and up to the start time of the same, each participant will be able to predict:
- (F) Correct score of the first half of the game.
- (G) Correct score at the end of regular time; therefore, any overtime/penalty penalties should not be considered.
- (H) Total football sign (1, or X, or 2) at the end of regular time; therefore, any overtime/penalty penalties should not be considered. This prediction will be auto-generated by the software based on the prediction (G) on the result at the end of regular time. It is therefore not possible that predictions (G) and (H) are separated.
- (I ) Man of the match Fantacalcio.it. Unquestionably chosen and declared by the editorial staff of Fantacalcio.it on the pages of the site www.fantacalcio.it immediately after the conclusion of each single match. This assessment also takes into consideration any overtime/penalty penalties.
- (L) Worst in the field Fantacalcio.it. Unquestionably chosen and declared by the editorial staff of Fantacalcio.it on the pages of the site www.fantacalcio.it immediately after the conclusion of each single match. This assessment also takes into consideration any overtime/penalty penalties.
For each correct prediction you will get points valid for the general classification as per the table below:
- (F) + 5 points if the participant correctly predicted the exact result of the first half of the game.
- (G) + 8 points if the participant correctly predicted the exact result at the end of the regular time.
- (H) + 2 points if the participant has correctly predicted the sign of the football pools (1, or X, or 2) at the end of regulation time.
- (F+G+H) superbonus + 5 points if the participant has correctly predicted the exact result of the first half of the game and the exact one at the end of the regular time (consequently guessing also the total football sign).
- (I) + 3 points if the participant has correctly predicted the man of the match Fantacalcio.it.
- (L) + 5 points if the participant has correctly predicted the worst in the field Fantacalcio.it.
Predictions can be freely changed, even several times, up to the start time of the match in question.
The software, in relation to predictions (F) and (G), does not allow you to enter values higher than 9 goals per team. In the event that in a real match of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" a result foresees a number of goals for each team equal to or greater than 10 goals, the consequence will be that no participant will accumulate any score for that specific prediction.
THE GAME ACTIVITIES: THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE DAILY FORMATION
Starting approximately 24 hours before each single match on the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" calendar and up to the start time of the same, each participant will be able to field:
- 4 players freely chosen from the squads of the two teams who face each other in the match valid for "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022"
- n°1 extra player, optional, chosen by the assistant coach (see point 7.3). The possibility of being able to field this fifth player is conditioned on the use of a short advertising video.
The four players, or five if you have opted to unlock the extra chosen by the Assistant Coach, must be representative of both the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" teams facing each other. That is to say that at least one player must be chosen from each of them. The software will not accept saves in violation of this constraint.
The chosen players, if they become the protagonists of certain events typical of the bonus/malus of fantasy football, can bring points useful for increasing their score in the general classification. The bonus/malus points and the connected events are those indicated in the appropriate table in point 8.3 of the regulation. Only the bonus/malus events that took place in the regular and extra time of the individual matches of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" are valid for game purposes. However, those of any final penalty kicks do not count. Unlike traditional fantasy football, points equivalent to the report cards received by the player (not reported in any way in the game) are not awarded, nor are the "assist" bonus and the "goal conceded" malus counted.
Most of the bonuses are fixed and valid for any player. An exception is the goal bonus (excluding those from penalties) which varies from player to player. The more likely it is that a certain player can score goals, the lower the corresponding associated bonus will be. The variable goal bonus of each individual player remains the same throughout the World Cup, therefore from the first to the last match of his national team. The value of the variable bonus will be evident, and therefore easily assessable, in the player selection screen. See point 8.3 in this regard.
The variable goalkeeper bonus follows a different management. For this category, the variable bonus is awarded in the event of a "clean sheet" unbeaten goal, while any goals scored (rare, but not impossible) follow the fixed value established in the table at point 8.3 of the regulation.
Each assistant coach selects the extra player to be able to field before the opening of the single match predictions, without the choice being able to change. All those who have therefore decided to join a specific assistant coach will receive, if they unlock him, the same extra player. The assistant coaches are not placed under any constraints in the choice of the player. It follows that it could also happen that two or more assistant coaches make the same choice in a given match of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022".
It may happen that you make the choice of your 4 players before discovering the choice made on your behalf by the Assistant Coach and that the player identified by him was already part of your personal choices. In this case, the software will automatically release the "double box" and, before allowing you to save, it will indicate that you have to make a further choice.
With the exception of the player fielded by the Assistant Coach, the players fielded can be freely changed, even several times, up until the start time of the match in question.
Note that the data validation does not take place in correspondence with the individual choices but when, at the end of the deployment/prediction process, you stop on the "save" button which transfers the data to the server. This is especially important to know when operating close to arming time-out; once the latter has expired, all partial data entered and not yet validated with the save will be considered as never entered.
After every single match of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" and in relation to the events of the same, the following bonus/malus points are awarded based on the events of the match itself. The bonuses/penalties are also valid in any overtime of the match. On the other hand, any final penalty kicks have no value for the purposes of the game. Among the bonuses, unlike traditional fantasy football, the assist event is not contemplated. Among the malus, however, there is no goal conceded by the goalkeeper.
Bonuses :
- for each goal scored from a play or free kick by an outfield player fielded by the participant, the participant is entitled to a bonus that varies from player to player. The bonus value of the individual players will be indicated by the software when deploying the formation, will be the same for all participants and, in relation to the individual player, will never change throughout the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" course. The list of all players with related variable bonuses will also be made available, as soon as the national teams participating in "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" make the players called up for the event official, in aggregate form and downloadable on the pages of the website www.fantamondiale .com.
- for each "cleansheet" (unbeaten goal) obtained by a goalkeeper fielded by the participant and who has played at least 45' of regular time, one is entitled to a bonus which varies from goalkeeper to goalkeeper. The bonus value of the individual goalkeepers will be indicated by the software when deploying the formation, will be the same for all participants and, in relation to the individual goalkeeper, will never change throughout the "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022" course. The list of all goalkeepers with related variable bonuses will also be made available in aggregate form and downloadable on the pages of the website www.fantacalcio.it.
- + 3 points for each goal from a penalty kick scored by a player fielded by the participant (whether goalkeeper or outfield player).
- + 4 points for each penalty saved by a goalkeeper or an outfield player who replaces the goalkeeper fielded by the participant.
- +10 points for each goal scored from open play or free kick by a goalkeeper fielded by the participant.
Malus:
- – 0.5 point for a caution received by the player (both outfield and goalkeeper) fielded by the participant.
- – 1 point for an expulsion suffered by the player (both outfield and goalkeeper) deployed by the participant.
- – 2 points for each own goal scored by the player (both outfield and goalkeeper) fielded by the participant.
- – 3 points for each penalty missed by the player (both movement and goalkeeper) fielded by the participant.
OFFICIAL DATA SOURCE VALID FOR THE GAME
The tables and reference data valid for the purpose of determining the game scores are those published on the official website of "Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022". Exceptions are the predictions (I) and (L) present in point 7.5 and following 8.2, the result of journalistic evaluations by the editorial staff of Fantacalcio.it.
SUSPENDED OR CANCELED GAMES If a match is suspended and not concluded (or repeated), the match itself will be considered void and will not give any valid score for the purposes of the game. In the case of matches whose victory is assigned "forfeit", see also the following point 7.8″.
