England, Harry Kane is one step away from history: the reason

Who knows how many times that chubby boy (in the photo below on the right) must have dreamed of scoring in the World Cup for England.
Perhaps many may not have recognized him but to  David Beckham 's left is a very young Harry Kane . The photo was taken in 2005, when the Tottenham and England forward was just eleven years old. And for the record, the child is Katie Goodland, now Harry's wife. 
Captain of the Southgate team in the expedition to Qatar, Kane had started the tournament without finding goals in the group stage but providing 3 assists . The only Englishman to do it in a single edition of a World Cup together with you know how who? David Beckham... 

Twists of fate, or maybe not. Many things have changed since that photo: 261 goals in the Premier League and 52 with the Three Lions shirt . The last in the round of 16 won 3-0 against Senegal, thanks to which he became the best English scorer in the main competitions for national teams (European and World Cup).

But there is another, more important record just a step away: equaling Wayne Rooney as the all-time leading scorer in England's history . The primacy of the Manchester United legend is at 53 : Kane will therefore just need another goal in Qatar to reach him, two to enter definitively in the books of Anglo-Saxon football . A child's dream with destiny in one photo.
