Flick remains the coach of Germany: it's official

The coach of Germany and the football federation communicated the decision in view of Euro2024

Despite the deblacle in Qatar with the exit in the group stage of the World Cup , Hansi Flick will remain the coach of Germany .

The former Bayer Munich coach will continue to hold the position also at Euro 2024,  which will take place in Germany.

Here is the official statement from Germany:  "DFB President Bernd Neuendorf, DFB Vice-President Hans-Joachim Watzke and national coach Hansi Flick had a friendly and constructive discussion today on the current situation and prospects of the German national football team Bernd Neuendorf explains: " We  are all convinced that the 2024 European Championship in our country represents a great opportunity for football in Germany . Our goal is to turn this tournament into a sporting success. We have full confidence in Hansi Flick who "will dominate this challenge together with his team.With regard to Oliver Bierhoff's successor, we have agreed that we will first discuss the future structure of this area of ​​responsibility within the DFB and then make a personnel decision .

Hansi Flick released a few statements:  My coaching staff and I are optimistic about the European Championship in our country . As a team, we can achieve much more than we showed in Qatar. We missed a great opportunity there . We will learn the lesson - reports the official website of the German Football Association - I have faith in the joint path agreed today with Bernd Neuendorf and Aki Watzke . We all want all of Germany to gather around the national team at the European Championship that we will host in 2024."
